Pisa-based producer Hedra was “in trouble with reality” when he composed his debut album, The Quiet Mind. Channelling his energy into producing, communicating what cannot be communicated verbally, using his devices to translate his experiences, feelings and concepts, these seven tracks ruminate on a psychic break between himself and his surroundings. Crisp yet disjointed, combining “natural” and computer-generated sounds, as evidenced in “Intro”, where Hedra proceeds to find the balance between dissonance and juxtaposition of the sonic elements of his compositions.
The Quiet Mind is an ambient, drone, dub-inflicted soundtrack to a journey through flashbacks and unconsciousness.

The Quiet Mind marks the second release for Italy’s emerging platform Arroyo. Working across music, poetry, digital art and design, Arroyo aims to develop a multicultural, multimedia nucleus across boundaries to foster experimentation and innovation.
